Objectifs
Algebraic combinatorics is the field that uses algebraic techniques (linear algebra, group theory,…) to study combinatorial problems, or combinatorial techniques (generating functions, counting techniques, bijections) to study algebraic problems. In this course, we will learn useful techniques from both fields and cover three classical topics from algebraic combinatorics: walks in graphs, generating functions and symmetric functions.
The course will be taught in English.
